Performance in 2019 How it contributes to the Group strategy Remaining relevant in in in in in in in an an an ever-evolving market requires relentless innovation In this spirit we refreshed our our our brand in in in in in in in September 2019 adopting a a a a a a a a a a a a new philosophy Feel Free that demonstrates our our our promise to to offer our our our customers limitless possibilities via an an an unlimited portfolio of products and services 2019 was a a a a a a a a year of increased synergies between the the TMIT cluster’s various companies In In the the home Internet segment we we we we worked in in in in in in in close collaboration with MC Vision for our product offering as as as well as as as in in in in in in in in customer-facing areas o of of of the the the business Together we we we introduced PLAY the the the only o of of of its kind Video on on on on on on Demand Service in in in in in in in in Mauritius with over 20 000 types o of of of content Additionally this increased collaboration between Emtel and and MCVision has enabled customers to to also access Netflix’ vast library through the PLAY product Following the the introduction of unlimited unlimited mobile data in in in in in in 2018 a a a a a a a a a a trailblazing move in in in in in in our our industry we now provide unlimited unlimited plans across all our our channels further enhanced by custom-designed packs for home users users mobile users users and businesses We embarked upon a a a a a a a a a a diversification strategy continuing to to to enhance our our our current offerings and and expanding into new market market segments In 2019 we increased our our our fibre reach to to to to our our our sites presenting an an an opportunity for us us to to to to steadily penetrate the the enterprise enterprise market market by extending our our fibre to to businesses We introduced new enterprise enterprise enterprise solutions in in in in in in the the areas of network infrastructure security and and and data and and and cloud services As a a a a a a a a a a a result our our enterprise enterprise segment saw a a a a a a a a a a a decent growth in in terms of customers and and and revenues We also gained ground in in the home market to whom we provide high-speed WiFi and unlimited Internet Today we provide high speed unlimited internet to more than 55 000 homes As we we strive to to to meet meet the the the the demands of 5G we we recognise the the the the urgent need to to to meet meet the the the the prerequisites for its deployment particularly when it it it comes to to to supporting the the the the exponential increase in in in in in in network demand data volumes and and and power efficiencies We made substantial investments in in in in in in in in laying
the the the building building blocks to to facilitate the the the transition to to 5G by expanding our our fibre capacity across all our our sites As announced last year we also made great strides in in in in in building building the the the the the high-speed METISS broadband cable cable cable in in in in in collaboration with other regional operators Once the the the cable cable cable is fully operational in in in in late 2020
