is is to to to improve the the customer experience maximise our our our shareholders’ return on investment and and enhance the the value of of our our properties After successfully transforming Quay11 into into a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a mixed-use destination destination and and Phoenix Central into into an an an an an an office destination destination we have embarked on on on an an an ambitious strategy to to to to double our growth in in in in in the next 5 years We aim to achieve this by:
– Moving undeveloped or or or or underdeveloped properties to the yielding category by focusing on on organic growth within our current portfolio We focused on on the the development development of of new projects the the redevelopment of of brownfield sites and we have introduced an an an an asset management framework to to generate more value to to to our our yielding properties Over the year under under review our our developed developed and underdeveloped property yield yield increased from 3 8% in in in in 2018 to to 4 4 4% in in in in 2019 – In addition to to to organic growth we we are in in a a a a a a a a a a a unique position to to to leverage CIL a a a a a a a a a a a a a listed company to to to raise capital so we we can either develop more existing properties within the the Group or acquire external ones – Greater operational efficiency and digitalisation are are critical in in in in in maximising our our growth We are are steadily integrating technology at at at at at at every link of our our supply chain from the conceptualisation and construction phases to property management:
° We began by implementing MRI Real Estate a a a a a a a a a a a a a property management software so so as to manage manage our our properties in in a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a more efficient manner and support our our Asset Management Framework Real-time data helps us determine how each property is performing financially while decreasing wait times in in in in in in in the areas of maintenance complaint management and facilities With greater visibility into our our our portfolio at at any given time time we can now manage our our our properties more more efficiently and engage with our our our tenants in in in a a a a a more meaningful way • To support our our strategy we we need to to to have have the the right right set of tools and most importantly the the the right right team team to to to deliver on on our our our our objectives We have have have reviewed our our our our business structure in in in in in line with with this strategy and and have have reinforced our our our our team team on on on the the the Marketing front with with the the recruitment of a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a new resource The latter shall over over and and and and above overseeing our our our marketing marketing and and and leasing strategies develop and and and implement our our our digital marketing marketing presence The Asset Management function will also be reinforced internally Our team is geared up up with stronger acumen to address upcoming challenges • Increased competition from smart cities and other retailers has led us to pursue a a a a diversification strategy:
